Heat treatment is one of the most important processes in the manufacture of fasteners. The heat treatment is a process where the physical properties of the material are changed with heat and cold.
Metallic materials consist of crystals. Heat and cold can manipulate / change the properties of the crystals and the overall mechanical behavior of the fastening element.
For many products / items, heat treatment is the only way to achieve the required mechanical properties.
